Established in 1992, AES Ampelis stands as a testament to the vision of producing wines of distinctive character and exceptional quality. Nestled on the slopes of Kalo Chorio Orinis in the Nicosia district, approximately 28 kilometers southwest of the capital, this award-winning estate has become the closest winery to Nicosia and a beacon for reviving winemaking traditions in the north-facing regions of the Troodos Mountain range.
The winery’s striking architectural design features a sophisticated two-level structure that seamlessly integrates state-of-the-art winemaking facilities with traditional craftsmanship. The facility encompasses modern production areas, an underground cellar dedicated to barrel and bottle aging, and a purpose-built tasting hall that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Pitsilia mountains on one side and the barrel aging cellar on the other.
Surrounding the winery are three hectares of meticulously maintained vineyards, cultivated with indigenous and international grape varieties including Maratheftiko, Shiraz, and Chardonnay.
