LaGria Winery is a family-owned boutique winery established on August 6, 1991, in the picturesque village of Salamiou, located 35 kilometers northeast of Paphos at an altitude of 700 meters. The winery’s name was inspired by a mountain formation near the property called “Lagria,” serving as a tribute to the village where the founding cousins grew up. Though the winery itself is relatively modern, the winemaking tradition in the Salamiou area spans over a century, reflecting the region’s deep-rooted viticultural heritage.

The winery benefits from Salamiou’s exceptional microclimate, characterized by cool winds from the higher Troodos Mountains that create colder nights and lower humidity levels. These ideal conditions allow the vineyards to produce healthier grapes with concentrated sugars and enhanced flavors, often without the need for pesticides. LaGria produces a carefully curated selection of wines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and their signature white and rosé varieties made from indigenous Xynisteri and Mavro grapes, all crafted with a commitment to quality and purity.

Visitors to LaGria Winery are welcomed for wine tasting and purchases, with the winery offering an intimate experience in a 900-square-meter facility set within the stunning natural landscape of the Natura 2000 protected region. The winery’s vision is to produce wines of the highest quality while maintaining their purity from chemicals, establishing itself as a brand of choice for wine enthusiasts both in Cyprus and internationally. The surrounding area also offers complementary experiences through traditional taverns and the broader Diarizos Valley Wine Route.
