Tsalapatis Winery is located just outside Polemi village in the Paphos region at an altitude of 450 meters, one of Cyprus’s most important vine-growing areas. Founded and run by owner Andreas Tsalapatis (also known as Andreas Chrysostomou), the winery has been producing wine for over 20 years and currently produces approximately 100,000 bottles annually. The winery’s vineyards are situated on hilly terrain across multiple villages including Polemi, Arodes, and Stroumpi, each contributing unique microclimates and soil characteristics that influence the final wines. The diverse soil composition of the vineyards includes limestone, black soils with heavy minerality, and red soils ideal for Shiraz production. Tsalapatis is particularly renowned for its exceptional white wines, especially its Xynisteri and Sauvignon Blanc varieties. The winery pioneered the production of Sauvignon Blanc on Cyprus and is celebrated for its Melapsopodi Sauvignon Blanc, which features tropical fruit aromas and pairs beautifully with fish and seafood. Ezousa Winery is located in Kannaviou village in Paphos region at an altitude of 400 meters. Mr Michalis Constantinides Kannaviou is the owner of the winery and four hectares of vineyards. The winery produces 52 000 bottles annually.

Nicolaides winery is located in the Anoyira village in Limassol region at an altitude of 450 meters. It opened in 1986 and is run by Nicolas Nicolaides today, a third-generation wine maker. The winery owns four hectares of vineyards and has an annual production of 130 000 bottles.

Erimoudes Winery is located in the Koilani village in Limassol region. The winery opened in 1995 by Mr Costas Erimoudes. The winery owns about three hectares vineyards of Cabernet Sauvignon and produces 21 000 bottles annually.

Vardalis (Kilani) Winery was established in 1998 in the picturesque village of Kilani, located approximately 40 kilometers northwest of Limassol in the Troodos Mountains foothills. The winery is situated in one of Cyprus’s most traditional wine-producing regions, where vineyards have flourished for generations. The impressive stone-clad winery and visitor center represent a significant investment of nearly 2 million euros, featuring a modern cellar completed in 2002 and a scenic terrace with far-reaching mountain views added in 2006. Kolios Winery, previously Amforeas Winery, is located in Statos-Ayios Fotios village in Paphos region. Mr Marios Kolios is the owner of the winery and ten hectares of vineyards. The winery produces nearly 400 000 bottles annually which makes the winery one of the largest on the island.

Lagria winery is located in Salamiou village in Paphos region at a height of 700m. The owner of the small winery is the president of the Salamiou community, Mr Kostakis Avgousti. The winery has four wines and among their grape wines are Xynisteri, Cabernet Sauvignon and Mavro. The winery has moved to a new building with modern wine making equipment and has an annual capacity of 100 000 bottles.

It is also said that the Ottoman sultan Selim II invaded the island just to acquire Commandaria; also that the grapes used to make this wine were the same grapes exported to Portugal that eventually became famous as the source of port wine.

Last year (2016), SODAP- Kamanterena Winery has won 25 Medals and Awards in International Competitions such as, the Decanter Wine Awards , the International Wine & Spirits Competition the International Thessaloniki Wine and Spirits Competition theAWC Vienna International Wine Challenge and special Competitions such as the Chardonnay du Monde, and the Rose du Monde, held in France.

The vines grown in the area are of great value as they would produce wines that were different because of the age of the vines and the high altitude, this is the key to the success of Santa Irene Winery. The winery now cultivates many of the vines and land that once had fallen to ruin. Daniel and Theoni’s vision is to offer wine of the finest quality while continuing to highlight the strength of the Cypriot grape varieties and tradition.

Dafermou Winery is located outside Lefkara village in Larnaca region and was established in 2011. It has 5 hectares of vineyards with grapes such as Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Maratheftiko, Assyrtiko, Malvasia, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.

The story of success though lingers on with the fabrication of bottled wine. Later on with his sons, Christaki and Doro establish the family winery in Pachna Village well equipped with modern vinification under controlled hygienic conditions. The accumulated experience and knowledge passed on from generation to generation, in combination with the love for fine wine, allowed the manufacture of the modern wine series of Yiaskouris Winery.

Generation after generation, the family vineyards at Vouni Panayia are cultivated with passion, great care and respect to the exceptional viticultural character of the area.
